Italy won against Ukraine today, 3-0, in honor of which I thought I’d provide you with another Mexican expression that will come in handy. (No swearing this time.)“No que no?” can be translated into “I told you so”. The difference is that “I told you so” clicks shut, and “no que no” carries more of a banter. “No que no” is defiant, mocking, proud and delightfully smug.
Raise your eyebrows a few times as you say it and grin. Go to an Italian restaurant and celebrate. Wear blue.
