I have an odds and ends drawer with rubber bands and matchboxes and birthday candles multicolored thumbtacks and an eraser white perfectly rectangular a black permanent marker and coins from other countries paper clips I found a key in there I plan to keep who knows when I’ll come across something I need to figure out how to open

I suspect that one day i will find a succession of padlocks, the unlocking of which will lead to untold treasures and eternal happiness. that's what I'm keeping all the keys in my drawer too!
After years of fighting with my junk drawer, I'm now at peace with it. In fact, I love it. It's my go-to drawer and nine times out of ten I find what I need. Now if I could just embrace my inner junk drawer....
